Hellenic’s clean sweep of Norzone soccer leagues

-

HELLENIC president Kosta Boubaris had no hesitation calling the 2021 Norzone soccer season the most successful in his club’s 63-year history.

The Blues added five premiership cups to their trophy cabinet this week – the Men’s and Women’s Premier League, Men’s and Women’s Reserves and Men’s Division One – to complete a clean sweep of the senior competitions. “It’s been a pretty fantastic year for the club and the first time I can recall one club winning all five senior championship titles,” an elated Boubaris said. “The club has a lot of history. We’re 63 years old this year and we’ve had a lot of success.

“There have been some great players and big expectations across those years and I hope what we’ve done this season has made a lot of former players proud as well.”

Boubaris said the club’s clean sweep was due to a combination of a lot of hard work from everyone involved in getting Hellenic on the field every week.

“So a big congratulations to all of them. We started pre-season in January and now it’s September and it has been a long nine months,” he said.

“With everything that is happening in the world it’s time to reflect not only on the achievements of the players, but the joy this has brought to our supporters and the parents of players.”
