WHEN we last saw Dave and Julie (Erik Thomson and Rebecca Gibney, both pictured with Willow Speers) they were setting off on the open road with their youngest daughter Ruby for a new chapter as grey nomads. When we pick up with the Rafters again, they’ve put down roots in a country town where Dave is training a young apprentice and Julie is dishing out advice to others over the kitchen counter. There’s just one problem: Julie misses her older children – Rachel (Georgina Haig), Ben (Hugh Sheridan) and Nathan (Angus McLaren) – and her father (Michael Caton).
