KANGAROOS OLD HEAD OFF TO TIGERLAND NEXT SE ASON

- JAY CLARK

NORTH Melbourne veteran Robbie Tarrant has told the Kangaroos he will play for Richmond next season. son.

In a boost for the e Tigers, the unrestricted free agent has agreed to line up in yellow and black in a key defensive boost for r next year, replacing g retired stopper David vid Astbury.

The Kangaroos hoped Tarrant (above) would remain at the club after recently increasing their offer from a one-year to a twoyear contract.

But the 32-year-old will instead move to Punt Rd to have a crack at a premiership.

Tarrant can sign as an unrestricted free agent which means it will cost the Tigers nothing noth in a trade.

But if he departs as a free agent it could water down the free agency compensation Richmond R will receive for fo Mabior Chol’s move to Gold G Coast.

It means m the Tigers may instead offer North a late draft pick as part of a trade for

Tarrant, but in any case a move will be made.

Tarrant has played 174 games across 12 seasons at Arden St, but only four finals matches.
