23YO SUMMONED

A MAN, 23, man will face court after being caught allegedly mid-range drink driving and driving without due care in Darwin on Friday night.

The man called police about 10.15pm, claiming he had found his car crashed on the side of Dripstone Rd in the northern suburbs.

Police then reviewed CCTV and discovered footage of the man allegedly getting into his vehicle and driving off from a pub only minutes before his call to police was allegedly made.

He was cautioned not to mislead police in future.
