Real life spills on to the small screen

A Hollywood actor with more than 30 years’ experience, Garcelle Beauvais (pictured) is no stranger to drama. But even she was left gobsmacked by castmate Erika Jayne’s highly publicised divorce (and subsequent legal problems) during the latest season of The RealHousewivesOf BeverlyHills.

Jayne returned to the show this year given what was happening and, while sympathetic, says her first thoughts are for the victims.

“It’s been really difficult, watching somebody going through all that because this is huge, right? I mean, it’s huge,” she says. And while she has yet to see any episodes from TheReal HousewivesOfMelbourne, Beauvais says she will eventually check it out.

Beauvais, who appeared in Marvel’s Spider-Man:Homecoming, says that while Marvel fans are passionate, they’re no match for Housewives fans. “Housewives fans are definitely crazier,” she says with a laugh.
