Burns backs Bulldogs’ firepower to make a difference

- JAMES PHELPS

BRAIDON Burns has declared the Bulldogs backline could rival the attacking genius of the Rabbitohs after the South Sydney centre became the latest Canterbury recruit.

In his first interview since joining a backline that will include Josh Addo-Carr, Matt Burton, Matt Dufty and Brent Naden, Burns predicted his new club would have the attacking firepower to match the pointscoring potency of his former club. Burns last week signed a twoyear deal with the Bulldogs and is expected to earn a starting spot in the centres alongside Naden with

Nick Cotric to return to the wing.

“They have made some great signings,” Burns said.

“They have bought some players that really know how to score points. It is only looking up for them and I am really looking forward to being a part of the excitement.

“I have always played outside Cody Walker and I reckon the Bulldogs will be just as good in attack judging from the roster.

“I am hoping I will also be able to bring something in that regard.”
