Feeding on insecurity

-

RESEARCH has found half of Australians living in regional and rural areas are more concerned about food insecurity and hunger than they were pre-pandemic.

The data revealed one in five people in those areas had experienced food insecurity – not knowing when their next meal would be – first-hand.

One in six had also skipped a meal in the past 12 months because they could not afford food.

It was also found that about 64 per cent of people did not know where or how to donate to help others struggling to eat.
