Pot eases uterus pain
MARIJUANA could be useful in reducing the pain associated with a serious uterus disorder, researchers have found.
The small study by Australian and international researchers found the effectiveness of the drug in treating endometriosis – a disorder where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus – changed depending on whether marijuana was smoked or ingested.
The study identified 252 participants with endometriosis and recorded in 16,193 marijuana-use sessions. It found the drug appeared to be effective for pelvic pain, gastrointestinal issues and mood.
