FROM Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry comes the second instalment of this biting satire about murderous women. Season one followed three different women in three different decades who were all led to become killers through infidelity. Season two all takes place in the same year, 1949, and centres around Alma ( Fargo’s Allison Tolman, pictured), an ambitious housewife who has her heart set on joining the local garden club. Alma spirals from dowdy mother of one to scheming con-woman and murderess in just a few episodes.
