Valentine‘s Day fizzer
FEWER Australians plan on celebrating Valentine’s Day this year, according to new research.
Data from Finder revealed only 24 per cent of people planned to mark the occasion – a 29 per cent decline on 2021.
Of the 76 per cent who would not be celebrating, almost two in five admitted they did not celebrate the day despite having a partner.
Australians are said to spend an average of $207.60 on their significant others or $974m in total nationally.
It was revealed men were expected to spend an average of $296 each and women $136.
