BEST Of Bordeaux showed he is the real deal while Magic was outstanding on debut as the colts muscled the fillies aside at Rosehill on Saturday.

Queensland flying machine Best Of Bordeaux ($11) again demonstrated brilliant natural speed to lead early then defy his chasing rivals to win the Group 2 Silver Slipper (1100m).

Magic ($18) charged home for a close second while Cythera ($8) was the first of the fillies home in third place.

Unbeaten Best Of Bordeaux backed up his debut win in the Canonbury Stakes and secured his place in the $5m Golden Slipper (1200m) at Rosehill on March 19.
