Man dies in crash

A 72-year-old man has died in a single vehicle crash along the Stuart Highway.

Authorities were alerted to the crash in Ti Tree at 2.20pm on Friday.

An NT Police statement said a passing motorist had tried to help the man.

It is understood the man was the sole occupant of the his vehicle.

Officials said the man died at the scene.

A report will be prepared for the coroner, with NT Police saying they were investigating the circumstances around the crash.
