Tourism campaign to promote big NT events

-

A NEW tourism campaign aimed to promote the Territory’s biggest events has been launched this week.

The Events that Bring the Different campaign will promote the entire NT annual events calendar and use five uniquely Territorian events as a hook to further promote the Territory to interstate visitors, including:

PARRTJIMA: A Festival in Light, a free 10-night festival in Alice Springs from April 8 to 17;

TASTE of Kakadu 2022, a culinary and cultural festival held in the Kakadu region in May;

DARWIN Festival, Australia’s hottest winter arts festival in Darwin from August 4 to 21;

DESERT Mob 2022, a celebration of contemporary Aboriginal art that includes an exhibition, talks and art market in Alice Springs from September 8 to October 23; and,

2022 Desert Song Festival, a 10-day festival in Alice Springs from September 9 to 18.

Tourism Minister Natasha Fyles said the campaign included travel deals and was running until June 30.

“Australia’s most unique and unforgettable festivals and events are right here in the Territory,” Ms Fyles said.

“Whether it’s experiencing our authentic Aboriginal art and culture, or our street art and film festivals, the NT has so much to offer visitors.”
