The Tigers are back

-

RICHMOND has sent a resoundingly message to the rest of the AFL off the back of a 38point win over the Western Bulldogs on Saturday night.

Both sides entered the clash with just one win apiece, as pressure mounted on two of the most successful teams of recent times.

Inaccuracy in front of goal and missed chances early hurt the Dogs, who went into the quarter-time break with only a five-point lead after to a goal in the last 20 seconds from spearhead Aaron Naughton.

The Tigers came out of the break roaring and booted four unanswered goals as the game was played on their terms for the first time that night.

Some sloppy skills and vast array of errors plagued the contest early on, but the Tigers leaders stepped up and grasped control of the match.

Tom Lynch worked his way into the game, clunking multiple contested marks and laying bone-crunching tackles.

The Tigers led by 11 at halftime, and went on with the job.
