‘ACID’ ATTACK

A WOMAN has suffered burns to her face after three masked men threw an acid-like substance at her in Sydney’s CBD on Friday night. Police will allege the men were travelling in a black hatchback when they pulled up alongside the women on Dixon St, Haymarket.

They then jumped out of the vehicle and one of the men threw the unknown substance, believed to be acid, at her.

The trio got back into the car and fled the scene while the woman sought refugee at a nearby restaurant.

She was rushed to hospital for treatment for facial injuries.
