45th Covid death in NT

A WOMAN in her 60s has become the 45th person to die with Covid in the Northern Territory since the start of the pandemic.

The woman, from Tennant Creek, had underlying health conditions and died at Alice Springs Hospital.

There were 298 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT in the 24 hours to 8pm on Friday. Of these, 256 were positive cases from a rapid antigen test.

There are 36 patients in hospital. There are three patients requiring oxygen and no patients in ICU.
