ONE man’s trash is another man’s treasure, or so the saying goes. But in this case, one person’s pile of rusty scrap metal contains someone else’s dream fixtures and fittings for their new home. Alistair and Belinda (pictured with host Peter Maddison) were left devastated when their family farmhouse was razed by a fire. They were racked with guilt about losing generations of their family’s memories. But rather than trying to rebuild their lost home, they decided to honour the past by replicating the style and materials of their old dairy sheds.
