Why reward those who walk to school?

Sunshine Coast Daily - Caloundra Weekly - - NEWS | OPINION -

BRIAN McBride does a commendable job for the community but rewarding school kids with “$10 for every 10 walks to school”? It’s a joke. Right? Of course kids should walk or cycle to school (I did: 5km, rain, hail or shine).

It’s good for them; no reward required.

I think the boot is on the other foot.

Mums who unnecessarily drive their kids, when they could be walking, should be fined $10 per trip for unnecessarily clogging up the roads and creating mayhem around schools.

Think about it.
