Property scores two HIA awards
A STUNNING Pelican Waters display home that proves size isn’t always the most important factor, has scored two prestigious wins at the HIA Sunshine Coast Housing Awards.
Designed and built by Look Homes, the contemporary Hamptonsinspired three bedroom home claimed Best Display Home in the $300,000 to $500,000 category and Sunshine Coast Display Home of the Year at a gala event held at The Sebel, Pelican Waters.
Look Homes director Lio Tellan said the awards were a great honour.
“It means a lot to the whole team to be recognised for our design work and construction,” Lio said.
“The home fits a growing niche market for people who are moving away from the larger properties with their added maintenance and upkeep, to smaller easy-care homes that don’t compromise on luxury and lifestyle.”
Called Wild Rose, the winning home offers a modern beach aesthetic, loads of natural light, extended glass windows, chef’s kitchen, open-plan dining and living area, outdoor alfresco, private courtyard, glistening swimming pool and even its own putting green.
It will now vie for state honours at the upcoming HIA Queensland awards.
The HIA awards recognise building and design excellence and are known for raising the bar in contemporary design construction, innovation and housing technology.
The Pelican Waters Display Village has become a hotspot for HIA winners, with featured builders Planet Homes and Hotondo Homes also hoisting trophies in the past.
Located at Sydney Avenue, Pelican Waters, the display village and land sales centre is open daily from 8.30am-5pm Monday to Friday and from 10am-4pm on weekends.
