The poor relations

Sunshine Coast Daily - Caloundra Weekly - - NEWS | OPINION -

AS A resident and dog owner and walker of Nambour I recently had the pleasure of taking a dog to the newly installed dog park in Palmwoods.

What a revelation. I discovered a large, enclosed area surrounded by sturdy fencing with two-way gates and undercover seating.

Outside the enclosure are barbecues, toilets and another undercover eating area.

As I looked around the totally unsafe area set aside for Nambour dog owners this morning I surmised that we are definitely the poor relations in the doggie world.

I would just like to point out that we in Nambour pay the same rates so I feel we could have been given the same facilities to keep out beloved pets safe.
