Fight­ing hunger by eat­ing Sub­way

THIS year Sub­way restau­rants around Aus­tralia are com­ing to­gether to fight food inse­cu­rity in cel­e­bra­tion of World Sand­wich Day.

Sub­way in­vites the com­mu­nity to join its largest fundrais­ing event of the year, the Sub­way Live Feed; an ini­tia­tive to help fight world hunger and feed Aussies in need.

In part­ner­ship with lead­ing food re­lief or­gan­i­sa­tion, Food­bank, ev­ery guest who vis­its a par­tic­i­pat­ing Sub­way restau­rant and pur­chases a sub, salad or wrap on Novem­ber 2 will get one free, and Sub­way will do­nate the cost of a meal through Food­bank to those seek­ing hunger re­lief.

In 2017 on World Sand­wich Day, 13 mil­lion meals were do­nated glob­ally, and 280,000 meals were do­nated in Aus­tralia alone, di­rectly help­ing com­mu­ni­ties who ex­pe­ri­ence food inse­cu­rity and anx­i­ety.

Each donation will be cap­tured on the Sub­way Live Feed dig­i­tal tracker.
