New brewery searching for dozens of staff

Sunshine Coast Daily - - NEWS -

A CRAFT beer brewery and pizzeria promises a taste of Italy and a strong drop of “what the Sunshine Coast wants”.

Glass House Brewery will open in the Kunara precinct in Mons, near Forest Glen, mid-November and are searching for 25 people to join the team.

Owner and operator Simon Michelangeli said 10 tonnes of steel would arrive next week to form the brew house, which would be visible through a glass wall from the outdoor beer garden accompanying the 200-person capacity dining hall.

Mr Michelangeli said the concept was three years in the making and born from a partnership with his head brewer, Paul Sanders, who he met 15 years ago at a home brew competition.

Each have a background in Italian heritage and decided a menu made from local produce would pair well with their four launch beers: a mid-strength lager, a Pacific-style ale, red IPA and black Czech lager.
