They’re fooling you

Sunshine Coast Daily - - YOUR SAY -

HAS anyone looked closely at the clothes of so-called refugees coming to our country?

When one mentions refugees fleeing persecution from their home country we expect to see a refugee dressed in a torn t-shirt, dirty shorts or dress, worn-out shoes and unruly hair.

Surprise, because the refugee of today is smartly dressed in designer tshirts or clean jackets, Adidas runners or one of the leading shoe suppliers, a smart phone, women with manicured and painted nails and their kids neatly dressed.

Most of them have paid people smugglers $10,000 or more to be transported to Australia. They have been advised to destroy their passports and papers and they have been tutored on what they should say along with legal contact numbers when they get here.

In other words they are fully prepared to arrive and fully skilled to delay identification and fool our immigration officials.

Their kids are brought along as levers to gain compassion and pity to aid their cause. Deception comes easy to many of them as it is something they have practised all their lives.

Yeah, the lefties and bleeding hearts are sucked in easily and they know these people will influence their own people to gain entry for them.

They must have a good chuckle at our expense. KEITH WHITESIDE Sippy Downs
