A TROPICAL cyclone resembles a huge whirlpool. Make these cyclone look-a-like cookies.
1 cup butter, softened; 2 cups sugar; cup packed brown sugar; 2 large eggs; 3 teaspoons vanilla extract; 33⁄4 cups plain flour; 2 teaspoons baking powder; Pinch of salt; cup baking cocoa
How to make:
In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Beat in vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix well.
Divide dough in half; add cocoa to one portion. On a baking sheet, roll out each portion between baking paper into a rectangle. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Place chocolate rectangle over plain rectangle. Roll up tightly starting with a long side; wrap in plastic. Refrigerate for 2 hours or until firm. Unwrap and cut into 1cm slices.
Place on lightly greased baking sheets. Bake at 180C for 10-12 minutes or until set.
