A TROP­I­CAL cy­clone re­sem­bles a huge whirlpool. Make these cy­clone look-a-like cook­ies.

1 cup but­ter, soft­ened; 2 cups sugar; cup packed brown sugar; 2 large eggs; 3 tea­spoons vanilla ex­tract; 33⁄4 cups plain flour; 2 tea­spoons bak­ing pow­der; Pinch of salt; cup bak­ing co­coa

How to make:

In a large bowl, cream but­ter and sug­ars un­til light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beat­ing well after each. Beat in vanilla. Com­bine the flour, bak­ing pow­der and salt; grad­u­ally add to the creamed mix­ture and mix well.

Di­vide dough in half; add co­coa to one por­tion. On a bak­ing sheet, roll out each por­tion be­tween bak­ing paper into a rec­tan­gle. Re­frig­er­ate for 30 min­utes. Place choco­late rec­tan­gle over plain rec­tan­gle. Roll up tightly start­ing with a long side; wrap in plas­tic. Re­frig­er­ate for 2 hours or un­til firm. Un­wrap and cut into 1cm slices.

Place on lightly greased bak­ing sheets. Bake at 180C for 10-12 min­utes or un­til set.
