Of­ten mis­taken for a grain, buck­wheat is ac­tu­ally the seed of a plant re­lated to rhubarb. Found in the health food sec­tion of the su­per­mar­ket, it’s a good source of pro­tein, iron, car­bo­hy­drates and mag­ne­sium.
