The Switchfoot Books

Surfing World - - Introduction -

Last month Surfing World celebrated the memory of Midget Farrelly with tributes, stories, art and images from those who knew and loved him most. It’s no exaggeration to say that mag might not have come together without the help of Mullumbimby-based publisher, editor and curator Andrew Crockett. Andrew has long championed what he calls surfing’s glory days of the 60s and 70s and has personally spoken to more legends of those eras than people who were actually there. He’s put them all together in three beautiful and reasonably priced hardcover books called Switchfoot I, II, and III. If you enjoyed the Midget mag, you’ll no doubt love Crockett’s passion for digging up rare photographic gems and letting the surfers of the day recall their own special versions of histroy. A perfect gi gift for any surf fan on the run into Chrissy. – ho
