Sydney Arena - - SYDNEY NEWS -

Three rare Sumatran tiger cubs have become a major attraction at Sydney’s Taronga Zoo.

The cubs were born on January 17 to first-time mother Kartika.

The female cubs are named Mawar (Rose in Indonesian) ad Tengah Malam (Midnight). The male’s name is Pemanah, or Archer.

Sumatran tigers are the most critically endangered tiger subspecies and are under increasing pressure as their jungle habitat shrinks.
