GIANT PLAN TO PLAY FOR POINTS IN USA
Sydney GWS Giants are enthusiastic to an AFL plan to play play a premiership leaguen game USA.

While talks with US sports promoters are in the preliminary stages there has already been support from financial backers and a match in USA would be welcome by Tourism Australia.
The AFL is playing premiership games in New Zealand and China and the UK and USA are two more countries under consideration.
It’s understand that America is a potential venue because of many Americans consider AFL a hybrid game that mixed basketball with football.
The bye round opens up the AFL to long distance football, as the week’s break would give players recovery time for jet-lag.
