Testing time for top dogs across the ditch
joined by a competitors from Queensland and Western Australia and will travel to Nelson in New Zealand next year to compete in a two test series for the Wayleggo Cup.
Across the country there are 700 Australian Sheepdog Association members, including just 25 from Tasmania.
Mr McGlashan and Nell are a very experienced combination, having been included in the Australian team eight times between them.
Nell has also claimed the Supreme Australian Championship as well as the Commonwealth Championship.
This is the second time Mr Grant has qualified to represent Australia.
The recent competition was the second time Dot qualified to represent Tasmania and this will be her first time in the Australian team.
Between them Mr Grant and Mr McGlashan have 70 years of stock-handling and trialling experience.
They are both passionate about the sport and say they are keen to take on and hopefully beat the Kiwis.
