Butcher battle for cattle heats up
A HEAVIER cattle yarding saw strong butcher competition on most lines at Roberts’ Quoiba sale on Wednesday.
While prices were firmer on many lines processing cows held recent firm quotes.
Trade steers had a stong showing, selling from 210c/kg to a top of 312c/kg, and trade heifers were making 220c/kg to a sale top of 314c/kg.
Beef cows were making 94c/kg to 182c/kg and dairy cows sold to 104c/kg.
