Vineyard nets trophy hat-trick

Tasmanian Country - - NEWS -

SOUTHERN Tasmanian wine producer Bream Creek Vineyard has taken out a hattrick of trophies at international wine shows.

The Dunalley wine maker was recognised in Europe and Asia for its Chardonnay and Pinot Noir varieties.

Bream Creek claimed best white wine of show at the International Wine Competition in Austria, the largest recognised show in the world where more than 12,000 wines for 1716 producers in 39 countries were entered. It also won best Chardonnay up to 12.9 per cent alcohol and best Pinot Noir at Hong Kong International Wine and Spirit Competition.

Vigneron Fred Peacock said the success on the world stage was “quite incredible”.

“These results in international competitions provide a strong endorsement of the great quality of the wines we are producing in Tasmania.”
