Quality up, cattle demand easier
PRICES eased slightly for a solid cattle yarding including lots of quality lines at Roberts’ Quoiba sale on Monday.
Trade heifers reached the sale high of 306c/kg, selling from 260c/kg. Trade steers sold from 260c/kg to 288c/kg while most butcher types made 280c/kg to 300c/kg.
The processing cow market was again strong, topping at 186c/kg for beef cows which sold from 162c/kg. Dairy cows made 80c/kg to 130c/kg.
