Qual­ity up, cat­tle de­mand eas­ier

PRICES eased slightly for a solid cat­tle yard­ing in­clud­ing lots of qual­ity lines at Roberts’ Quoiba sale on Mon­day.

Trade heifers reached the sale high of 306c/kg, sell­ing from 260c/kg. Trade steers sold from 260c/kg to 288c/kg while most butcher types made 280c/kg to 300c/kg.

The pro­cess­ing cow mar­ket was again strong, top­ping at 186c/kg for beef cows which sold from 162c/kg. Dairy cows made 80c/kg to 130c/kg.
