Invisibility cloak developed by Berkeley researchers
HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT NO LONGER JUST THE DOMAIN OF WIZARDS.
Scientists at the University of California in Berkeley have announced they’ve created a exible material that can de ect the light around a 3D object, essentially rendering it invisible. ough the prototype has only been observed on the microscopic scale, the researchers noted that the material should fare well on a larger scale and could potentially conceal objects visible to the naked eye. e discovery represents the culmination of a decade of research by the scientists, which focused on bending light around an object rather than re ecting it -- a phenomenon that does not exist in any known natural objects.
