How do I restore photo thumbnails?

Can someone please tell me how to restore the photo previews that appear when browsing my folders in Windows 8.1? All I’m seeing is the ower icon next to each photo.

Nick Odantzis replies: is can usually be xed by tweaking a single setting. Click the folder button on the Taskbar to open a File Explorer window. Switch to the View tab on the ribbon and click the ‘Options’ button on the right, to open the Folder Options Control Panel. Switch to the View tab on here and check the ‘Always show icons, never thumbnails’ setting at the top. If it’s ticked – as it was in Ken’s case – remove the tick and click ‘OK’, which will restore the thumbnail view.
