LENSES
The standard kit lens is a good starting point. You’ll want to buy into a system with a variety of lenses on o er to suit your evolving shooting preferences and styles. If you already own lenses from a certain manufacturer and want to use those lenses on a di erent manufacturer’s mirrorless camera, check to see if the manufacturer makes an adaptor, as some do for di erent lenses.
BATTERIES
A spare battery is almost a must if you even intend on travelling with the camera. There’s nothing worse than having to conserve your camera’s energy after shooting some video.
ADOBE LIGHTROOM
Mirrorless cameras have the capability to shoot in uncompressed formats. To process these images, Lightroom can be purchased for $ . It’s a fairly easy to use program that allows you to make batch adjustments to your images and export them as JPGs.
LENS CARE
Get a rocket blower to blow away any dust o the front of the lens. You’ll want to do this before wiping the front of the lens, so as to avoid scratching the glass. For any smudges, you can use a microfiber cloth, which you can nd at any camera store.
MEMORY CARDS
If you’re going to be shooting RAW and/or video, you’ll want a fast memory card that will record the les quickly. This is especially true for video, which will continuously be recording data onto the memory card.
