DELL INSPIRON 27 7000 PUT EVERYTHING ON RED. Starting at US$999 | June 2017 | www.dell.com.au

By doubling down on the use of AMD’s CPUs and GPUs, Dell has made an all-in-one PC that, for the first time ever, really can do everything. Not only does this 24-inch touchscreen offer a dedicated GPU that can play the latest games on ultra settings, but the company has also slapped on the InfinityEdge display that was one of the highlights of its XPS laptops. We only have an estimate of the price, but it could even cost less than last year’s range.

GIGABYTE AORUS GAMING BOX ~$810 | June 2017 | www.gigabyte.com.au TETHER SOME GPU BACKUP TO YOUR RIG.

Australians have been able to get Alienware’s Alpha GPU Accelerators for some time now, but the proprietary connection interface made the product a little too niche. In what seems like one of the best expressions of a GPU accelerator, Gigabyte may have fixed this issue with the Aorus Gaming Box that was unveiled at Computex. Connecting a Nvidia GTX 1070 GPU to any computer through a Thunderbolt 3 interface, this unit will significantly speed up a large range of devices and has a pretty reasonable expected RRP.

ASUS ROG SWIFT PG35VQ ULTRAWIDE GAMING MONITOR WIDER, BETTER, FASTER… MORE EXPENSIVE. Price TBA | Q4 2017 (estimated) | www.asus.com/au

The Republic of Gamers (RoG) line by ASUS has shown off its mammoth of a monitor, the RoG Swift PG35VQ, with a massive 35-inch curved, UWQHD (3,440 x 1,440) display and a 21:9 aspect ratio. With a ridiculously fast 200Hz refresh rate, Nvidia’s G-Sync support, quantum dot technology, and HDR, this Swift Gaming Monitor will likely make for some of the silkiest and sexiest gaming experiences available, granted you have the wallet and GeForce grunt to back it up.

GIGABYTE BRIX GAMING VR A BIT FASTER THAN YOUR AVERAGE BRICK. Price TBA | June 2017 | www.gigabyte.com.au

Amongst the raft of gaming laptops showed off at Computex, Gigabyte brought out a VR Ready update to its 2.6-litre Brix Mini PC that manages to keep powerful upgradable components in a compact form factor. This 11cm-wide tower is about as wide as your smartphone is long and stands a mere 22cm tall. Concealed inside is a digital origami that includes a GTX 1060 GPU, Intel 7th CPU, and space for two M.2 SSDs, a HDD or SATA SSD and two DDR4 RAM sticks.

ZOTAC VR GO VR TO GO. US$1,999 | Available now | www.zotac.com

Intel showed off the WiGig wireless adapter for the HTC Vive at this year’s Computex, but this kind of remote transmission technology is still some way off being consumer ready. Much like MSI before it, Zotac wants to cut the cord by strapping a VR-ready PC to your back with its new VR Go backpack. This GTX 1070-wielding PC-backpack has the added bonus of not being not pinned down by range restrictions, with two 6,600mAh Li-ion batteries that’ll deliver two hours of charge each.

MSI G25 VORTEX GAMING DESKTOP MORE THAN JUST A STORM IN A TEACUP. Price & availability TBA | au.msi.com

Last year, MSI released a cylindrical desktop gaming machine dubbed the ‘Vortex’, and this year, it’s been reinvented as a sleek console-esque unit with the option for some serious power under the hood. The ‘25’ in the G25 model name allegedly represents a 2.5L chassis volume and an overall 2.5kg weight, making this a seriously compact unit. You can cram the Vortex with up to a seventh-gen core i7 Intel processor, a GeForce GTX 1070 GPU, 64GB of DDR5 RAM, and up to two PCIe M.2 SSD storage.

CORSAIR CONCEPT ZEUS MOUSE AND MOUSEPAD PERPETUAL GAMING AT YOUR FINGERTIPS. Price TBC | 2H 2017 | www.corsair.com

Using Qi charging technology, the Concept Zeus Mousepad from Corsair will be able to wirelessly charge both your (Concept Zeus) Mouse and phone from the pad itself. The concept, as it stands, is thin on specific details but supposedly the entire mousepad will provide a trickle charge to the mouse and will rapidly replenish it when placed in the designated zone. An adapter allows this zone to also charge your smartphone while you game, or presumably you can place your Qi-supported device directly on the area.

THE CONCEPT ZEUS MOUSEPAD FROM CORSAIR WILL BE ABLE TO WIRELESSLY CHARGE BOTH YOUR (CONCEPT ZEUS) MOUSE AND PHONE FROM THE PAD ITSELF.
