There’s a host of different devices that a Wi-Fi enabled camera can make a connection with, whether that’s directly or over an existing Wi-Fi network. Some will offer communicat­ion in one direction — sending pictures to a printer, for instance — while oth

YOUR CAMERA 01

You may not have all these options for your camera — check the Wi-Fi menu ot see which are available.

MOBILE DEVICE 02

Phones and tablets can be used to control the camera and to receive miages sent from the camera.

STORAGE DEVICE 03

You may be able to connect to wireless hard disks and transfer files via FTP file( transfer protocol).

CLOUD 04

You may be able to send images to Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and other web

services straight from the camera.

TV 05

By connecting to a DLNA media player, you can display images recorded on the camera’s memory card on a TV set.

COMPUTER 06

Send images from the camera to a computer, control a camera remotely or use Wi-Fi tethered shooting.

BLUETOOTH 07

Some Wi-Fi cameras also include Bluetooth, enabling you to use compatible

luBetooth remotes to trigger the camera.

OTHER CAMERAS 08

You can exchange images with another Wi-Fi enabled camera; we’ve rarely used

htis option.

PRINTER 09

No cables? No problem: send pictures straight from the memory card in the

camera to a Wi-Fi printer.
