Retrofitting popular eSports titles with real time tabletop rendering is becoming a trend in augmented reality breakthroughs. Developer Grab Games showed off a prototype of League of Legends playing out on a tabletop that spectators could watch in AR at Google’s annual product launch event in October. Intending to show off ARCore, Android’s similarly named ARKit equivalent, the game adaptation extends a concept we first saw on Guns of Boom, to a triple-A title.
