4K projectors with HDR haven’t quite reached the same price levels as flatscreen TVs — in fact, if you want one, you’re still looking at over $4,000 just for the ‘entry-level’ options. While we’re all waiting for prices to get more reasonable, there are great 1080p projectors to be had for around $1,000, and this LCD-based model is our current pick at this price. It’s nice and bright at 2,500 lumens, has very cheap replacement lamps (around $70 each) and, while the blacks are perhaps a little greyer than we’d like, its colours on the whole are nice and neutral.
