Rock 2-in-1 International Power Adapter

-

A CHARGER WITH A HANDY TRICK.

WHILE MOST TRAVEL adapters need to be plugged in, the Rock charger has a battery bank built in for on-the-go charging. It also comes with clip-in and out plugs so it can be plugged into UK, European and Australian sockets. USA (and all the other countries using the same connector) compatibility is handled by fold-out prongs built into the unit itself. The Rock charger has two USB ports — one rated for 2.4A fast charging, and the other for 1A, giving a total of 3.4A (12W). The battery bank inside is rated at 5,200mAh, which is enough for two charges of a lot of smartphones.

In testing, the Rock adapter happily outputted the rated current, and we measured a pretty good 90% of the rated power bank capacity available in the real world. It’s a bit chunkier than most, too, at 77 x 72 x 22mm. You will need to shop around online to pick the Rock up for under $50, but it’s a versatile option for travellers.
