Instagram’s square format for photos can be limiting, especially when it comes to showcasing panoramas. They either appear really tiny because of their width or you need to crop the image to make it fit. But Unsquared takes a unique approach to helping you showcase your panorama images on Instagram.

This easy-to-use app chops a panorama into bite-sized squares that can then be uploaded to Instagram in full size. You can take a picture from within the app, or use one from your photo library. Once an image has been uploaded to Unsquared, a grid appears, and you can choose how many pieces you want the image to be divided into. There’s a choice of two to five pieces, depending on what suits the image best. Once you’re happy with your choice, hit Done and you’re done.

The square pieces get saved to your library and then it’s up to you to upload them to Instagram using the Slideshow function. Visitors to your Instagram page will be able to see all the pieces by just swiping left.
