RATHER THAN TRYING to get too fancy, the Belkin Global Travel Kit looks like a totally normal USB charger. For travel though, it includes six different changeable plugs, which cover just about every country in the world, including Australia. In other words, you can have it plugged in at home, then simply change the plug before heading overseas.

The charger only has a single USB port, which is rated for 2.4 amps. It happily supplied this in testing, and had no trouble fastcharging a phone or tablet. The unit has excellent build quality, and the plugs are easy to change, yet very sturdy. No USB cables are included, but Belkin do offer an excellent range of options separately.

For some extra peace of mind, Belkin offers a $2,500 connected equipment warranty to cover any damage to your mobile device in the unlikely event the charger has a problem.

At the time of writing, the Belkin Global Travel Kit was not yet on shelves locally, but has an RRP of $49.95.
