CLIMATE CHANGE COULD BE MAKING US GRUMPY JUST... CHILL OUT, MATE.

Lack of sleep on a hot night can leave the best of us feeling grumpy the next day, but a new study is suggesting that people’s personalities can be shaped by the climate of the place they grew up in. Scientists from Peking University, Beijing, conducted separate studies in two different parts of the world — China and the US — and found that those who grew up in milder climes were, in general, emotionally stable, industrious, agreeable and open to new experiences, compared to those who grew up in harsher climates. The scientists have stated that the temperature of the locales could be a “potential” explanation and concede that cultural differences could also play a part. They agree that more research is necessary to prove that temperatures can shape personalities, but have said that... “as climate change continues across the world, we may also observe changes in human personality. Of course, questions about the size and extent of these changes await future investigation.”
