NEW UK BILL WILL GIVE COPS THE POWER TO GROUND AND SEIZE DRONES
ALONGSIDE RULES THAT REQUIRE DRONE REGISTRATION AND TAKING ‘SAFETY AWARENESS’ TESTS.
The UK Government is taking a hard stance on drone regulations. Rules were put in place earlier this year that required drones weighing over 250g to be registered and owners take a ‘safety awareness’ test to prove they understand the regulations. Now the UK government is drafting a new bill that will give British police the power to not just ground but also seize drones they think are being used to commit an offence. The Drone Bill might even ban the use of drones at an altitude of over 400ft near airports.
