HP Chromebook 11 G5
A VERSATILE OPTION.
RATHER THAN JUST a single flavour, the HP Chromebook 11 G5 comes in a few different specs. All the laptops use an 11.6-inch, 1,366 x 768 screen, available with or without touch. The G5 has an efficient Intel Celeron N3060 CPU, but can be equipped with 2GB or 4GB of RAM, and 16GB or 32GB of storage. Pricing is a bit variable — our pick is the 4GB/32GB touch model, sold for around $450. The sleek Chromebook does not have any extra protection against drops, but measures in at 28.6 x 20.5 x 1.8cm and weighs 1.2kg.
The G5 is very snappy to use, and has a premium feel over other Chromebooks. The IPS panel gives excellent colours and viewing angles, and the keyboard and trackpad are very solid. The chromebook is equipped with 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, dual USB 3.0, HDMI, 3.5mm audio, webcam and a card reader. With a bit of effort, it’s possible to get almost 13 hours from the large battery too.
