ASUS Vivobook 15.6-inch

A LARGER FORMAT OPTION.

-

AVAILABLE WITH A variety of hardware specs, the ASUS Vivobook 15.6-inch lineup starts from an affordable $599 and ranges up to over $2,000 for the Pro. At the lower end, the Vivobook has a quad-core Pentium N4200 CPU that boosts to 2.5GHz, 4GB of DDR3 RAM and a 128GB, 2.5-inch SSD. That’s only a little better than some of the smaller laptops, but is more than enough for everyday use. The laptop has a 15.6-inch screen, but only a slightly disappointing 1,366 x 768 resolution, rather than full HD. The battery could be bigger too, and struggles to last 5 hours.

The keyboard is spacious and solid, and includes full size keys and a numpad. Of course, a result of the larger footprint means the Vivoook weighs 2kg, and is chunky at 27.6mm thick. Disappointingly, it’s equipped with 802.11n Wi-Fi, not AC, but helps make up for it with USB 3.0, and even a USB-C port. You also get Ethernet, Bluetooth, HDMI, VGA, a 3.5mm audio jack, webcam and an SD card reader.
