Benro Smart Mini Tripod and Selfie Stick

FITS ALL YOUR IMAGE TAKERS.

IF YOU’RE LOOKING for something that works equally well as a selfie stick and tripod, the Benro is a better bet over the Cygnett. Like many of its brethren, it telescopes out to an extended length, comes with a rechargeable Bluetooth remote control that clips into a holder and is easily accessed from the grip, and doubles as a tripod. The Benro looks and feels like a high-quality product, with a sturdylooking silver pole, matte black colouring and attractive blue accents. This is especially the case when it comes to the the tripod stand, which has three thick legs that make it far better suited as a smartphone tripod (although we still wouldn’t use it any higher than tabletop tripod height). Oddly, there’s no way to lock the pole in place once you’ve reached the desired length, although there’s enough resistance that it stays put once extended. Of greater concern is the smartphone holder, which doesn’t have any padding where it meets the screen. With many modern smartphones now employing edge-to-edge and curved displays, this could potentially scratch the screen if it doesn’t have a case on it.
