A HEAVY CASE WITH LOTS OF LIGHTS.

WE HAVE ROOM for a joke entry here. The back of the box promotes “adjustable high-definition LEDs” that will increase your selfie prowess. Quite what ‘high definition’ LEDs are aside, the lights that sit in the rim of this soft-touch rubber and plastic case do make a difference, throwing out a warm light that’s most effective from just under an arm’s length away. You wouldn’t bother in bright sunlight, but in a darkened room, the lights will even out the shadows on you (and your friends’) face.

That’s the entirety of the gimmick, and while there’s no claim on how shockproof the case is, you could easily let this slip out of your hand (not that you would, as that TPU outer offers a lot of grip — unless you’ve just seen the selfie you just took) and onto the floor, and still maintain your composure. It’s a bit heavy, though, and the shiny rear is either gorgeous or a touch gauche depending on your tastes.

You get two light settings, but we wouldn’t bother with anything but maximum power, giving you just over an hour’s worth of usage.
