Epson Expression Premium ET-7750

FOR THOSE WHO NEED AFFORDABLE BULK PRINTING.

-

PRINTING LOADS OF photos at home is convenient, but the costs can quickly add up. The Epson ET-7750 takes a different approach to the usual cartridges, with easy-to-refill ink tanks. It’s also a large format printer, able to handle page sizes up to A3 for large photos and doublesided printing. Of course, it can also scan and copy up to A4 sizes and has a 1,200 x 2,400dpi scan resolution. The ET-7750 connects via Wi-Fi, Ethernet, USB and has a 2.7-inch LCD.

Despite its multiple function, office friendly nature, the ET-7750 is photo focused. Not only does it produce lab-quality borderless prints, it has a dedicated tray for photo paper and can load images directly from a camera SD card. The printer also has software that can do automatic corrections and red-eye removal, and an app for printing straight from a smartphone.

The printer is quick to get setup, and a standard 6 x 4-inch photo takes about 30 seconds to print. The 5,760 x 1,440dpi print resolution produces excellent results that are noticeably better than lesser printers, as well as low-cost photos from places such as Officeworks.

A full set of photo ink costs $92, and is good for 5,000 pages of colour, or a few thousand photos. Combined with a bulk photo paper purchase, the cost per 6 x 4-inch print can be as low as about 15 cents each. Document printing is also very economical, with up 14,000 pages per $30 ink refill.
