PODCASTS THAT THRUST A BUCKET OF POPCORN INTO YOUR AWAITING HANDS AND SIT YOU DOWN TO TALK FILMS.

- [ CARMEL SEALEY ]

EVERYBODY HAS AN opinion (or two) about every movie they have ever seen, making it one of the easiest podcasting avenues to explore if you’re that way inclined. The following examples of the poddy ‘genre’ show a cross-section of what’s out there, from a group of friends passionately discussing (or ripping into) the latest blockbuster to a professional critic getting into the nitty-gritty of what characteristics make a truly classic film. Spoiler warnings abound here, obviously, so if you’re wanting to listen to a production about movies but you haven’t yet seen the film being discussed, be warned — these are not ‘we think this will happen in the movie’ podcasts, they’re all post-viewing. So let’s get this show on the road, roll the tape, dim the lights, recline the chair and switch your phone to silent! Oh, wait, don’t do that one. Now... action!
